Charli XCX's new music video for "Boys" is a certified viral hit. The British pop star only makes a couple of brief appearances in the self-directed clip. Instead, she lets her famous male friends soak up the spotlight, including Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Mac DeMarco, Diplo, Rostam, Wiz Khalifa, D.R.A.M., Kaytranada, Stormzy, Riz Ahmed and Swet Shop Boys, Jack Antonoff, Mark Ronson, Flume, Ty Dolla $ign, Joey Bada$$, Chromeo, Charlie Puth, Khalid, Joe Jonas and more.
They all partake in various frivolous activities. Puth washes a car, Urie sits in a bed of flower pedals, model Cameron Dallas plays with a chainsaw, Tom Daley gets wet and Joe Jonas scarfs down syrupy pancakes. It's a video delight, and now there's more – Charli is sharing behind-the-scenes footage of the creation process. The featurette gives Charli more camera time, but more importantly a glimpse at her the gears grinding in the brilliant brain of hers.
Enjoy this, because it might be awhile before we get new music from the singer. Word on the street is she's delaying her new album to 2018 because it's unexplainably leaking onto the Internet in bits and pieces. Do her a solid and give this a play:
