Gallant Dines Alone In The “Miyazaki” Video


Red wine and heartbreak overflow in Gallant's music video for “Miyazaki.”

Gallant (Christopher Gallant) dropped his recent EP Ology in April, which features the dreary laid-back tune “Miyazaki,” among 15 others, and today the 24-year-old LA based singer-songwriter is sharing a visual to match.

The song thumps along to Gallant's smooth tone, but what he sings about is menacing, seductive.

"Suicide. All the heartbreak. You was right to point the finger at my guilty eyes," he croons in one breath, and the next: "If you want I can make your body tremble... No one has to know."

In the Hayden Belluomini and Kaelyn Gage-directed clip, Gallant sits at a dinner table set for eight, holding his head up in despair while the camera pans around a vase of a dozen red roses, red flickering candles and a glass of red wine. If you're in a mood, watch this:
