Frank Ocean opens up about his love of music and fantasy in a new ad for Calvin Klein.
If this 60-second promo isn't a telling sign Ocean has an album on the way in the very near future, I don't know what is.
The soulful crooner walks around a tilted room as he romanticizes about music and fantasy.
“If you keep it up for four or five weeks, and then you stop, you feel like you’re missing something in your day,” he says. “That’s what music is for me – it feels like a necessary act.”
It also features cuts of the Channel Orange singer embracing a Marilyn Monroe character. But why? “It takes a mind to worry, a conscience to feel ashamed, but there’s no place to hide out here. You romanticize what’s in the past, which is fantasy. But it’s not how I want it done. Fantasy plays the role of a supplement. You draw on fantasy to make things hyper-real.”
And for good measure, there's a few close-up shots of his Calvins.
