Foxes samples the best from pop with her new single "Body Talk."
The English singer/songwriter returns after serving as Pharrell's opening act on his 2014 Dead Girl Tour with her followup to Glorious, the '80s-inspired (because of course it is) smooth pop jam titled "Body Talk" (not to be confused with Robyn's "Body Talk" or Tove Lo's "Talking Body"). "Body Talk" is the kind of ditty you'd enjoy in a pair of roller blades, neon headband tightly gripping your temple as you skate down the boardwalk in your short-shorts. And while most great pop songs this summer sample something from the 1980's era (Bonnie McKee's "Bombastic," Katherine McPhee's "Lick My Lips," everything new from Carly Rae Jepsen), it does employ originality (also despite the lazy song title choice).
“Let your body talk / Even when you feel so lost”
