Footage Of Scrapped Hilary Duff Documentary Surfaces

Get a little taste of what Hilary’s into.

Hilary Duff produced one of our favorite pop records this year with Breathe In. Breathe Out., but after gearing up for a proper comeback after seven years away from the music circuit, Duff dropped off the face of the Earth. Fans speculate her disappearance was, in-part, because of the sudden change of direction with the album. What started out as a record of folk-pop songs (“All About You,” “Chasing The Sun”) became a traditional pop-sounding album (a la “Sparks”) and she wasn’t feeling it. From there, everything went downhill – she cancelled several scheduled performances, including two music festivals and her appearance at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and never returned.

Footage of Duff documenting the process ahead of the shift, from what looks to be a documentary that never saw the light of day, landed online today (Dec. 15). In it, she discusses returning to the recording studio, shows behind-the-scenes footage rehearsing “All About You” and a sit-down interview detailing the mayhem of it all.

We miss you, Hilary.
