Pop fivesome have been added to the star-studded bill.
It’s quite apparent that the folks behind the Fifth Harmony marketing machine are pulling out all the stops to make sure that the five females get their share of exposure for their latest musical era. On Wednesday (May 25), it was announced that the latest promo spot to be added to their schedule includes a performance at the upcoming 2016 CMT Music Awards.
For their appearance, the ladies will join breakout country star Cam for a special live mashup performance of her track “Mayday” along with the girl group’s hit, “Work from Home.” Considering that pop stars like Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani and even Jennifer Lopez have already made attempted transitions into the country realm in recent months, the cross genre marketing isn’t incredibly surprising. We’re just curious to learn how the musical genres will blend together. I mean, have you heard “Mayday”?
