MJB's next studio collection will arrive in August or September.
Remember when Kanye West went on that lengthy "Ellen" rant about wanting to help people? Maybe one of the folks that he was referring to was Mary J. Blige. That's because the Queen of Percolating Dancery has cooked up something in the lab with none other than Yeezy himself.
News of their team-up arrive on May 27th during the Arbiters of A&R podcast with Blige’s A&R Eddie Fourcell. “I think this is going to be the first time the world sees a Mary J. Blige and Kanye West [record]," he said during the interview. Fourcell revealed that the collection is done and currently in the mixing phase. It's said to drop in August or September.
Fourcell also went on to say that this is the only project that he's been the sole A&R rep behind, so the pressure is on. Additional production on the follow-up to 2014's London Sessions include Hit-Boy, DJ Camper and B.A.M.
