MTV TO BRITNEY: DONT BE TOO CONTROVERSIAL
You guys I just got some leaked information from someone close to the MTV Studios.
Britney Spears was to perform under the magic of Chris Angel... but MTV freaked out at the last minute finding out what Britney was actually going to
do.
Supposidly, what Britney and Chris were planning was to do a set of mirrors and flotation. But when told to the Palms Hotel/Casino... the hotel
flipped.
Insurance was the main problem, and the stage couldn't support the performance. MTV also freaked at the last minute because of their fear of being
"too controversial" during the performance. Britney and Chris were infact furious with MTV's sad excuse and told Britney to change the performance
at the last minute.
Britney's original performance was to infact appear and disappear. To float through the air... and for much mature dancing.
MY THOUGHT: I truly don't think the performance was bad at all. I thought she looked pretty good, not great but good, and she did do a few cool
dance moves. I'm a little disappointed with MTV. And you can obviously tell that Britney was pissed off with the change of the performance.

cuz then it's their fault that britney's gets all the bad press now

hhhm, does make sense. true or not, i think alot of ppl r over reacting, i know it wasnt a great performance, but it wasnt as bad as ppl r saying.

That makes too much damn sense. If they were gonna make her change they should have told her to do it earlier in the day. It would explain the
emotion, she had this great performance and then they had to change last minute and she knew it wasn't gonna be as good, wouldn't be as big and the
wow factor. That would fluster EVERYONE.

i think it was a good performance
U guys all the performances tonight at the VMA's were really really safe. Britney's was the most controversial cuz she was barely wearing
anything.
In fact, Britney's performance was probably second best.
Look Here:
Foo Fighters - couldn't hear them singing
Chris Brown - wasn't singing... only danced
Rihanna - lyp synched and didn't dance
Fall Out - jus busted shit on the stage
Timbaland's solo performance - jus DJ'd
Alicia Keys - boring =/
The best was the Timbaland, JT, Keri, & Nelly performance.
Second was Britney.
MTV is just scared that they'll get their asses sued. They got into a legal dispute after the whole Britney/Madonna kiss. I think MTV is just
scared of what Britney will do and what the result will be

Hey after watching it a second time it was a lot better then most others performances.

I think we were looking for the *BIG* they kept on hyping and perfection. And I think you're right, hers was one of the better performances.

I agree with all that, and it would be great if it is true. Absolutely great. It would make sense that she only half-tried. I feel bad, and I want
them to tape it on like a home video and send it in so we can all see what it WOULD have been. I figured something was wrong.
Oh, and I think Rihanna actually sang, because I was like... 'wow' when I watched. The lights were better for her than for Brit.

That's just a sick thing to do. If Britney would have pulled out she would have been a laughing stock -- HOWEVER, her appearance could have looked
better instead of thrown together.

HOWEVER, if this were MY performance and MTV tried to take that away from me then of course I would be pissed ....
