well, Lady Gaga's album is still in the top 100 and Britney's isn't so u fail my friend. Plus gaga's already has 4 #1 singles, and she did that in
just over a year. Britney took what, 10 years to get 3 #1 singles?

'Circus' has sold 4 million WW, period. 'The Fame' has sold 4.1 million WW, period.
'Circus' is currently in the lead for U.S. figures.
And 'The Fame: Monster' does not count towards the sales of the original album, so that would be unfair to compare.

THE FAME MONSTER will actually count---because the original album is on a seperate disc and it will be priced like a double album....
Lady Gaga does have 4 radio #1s---thats a first for a debut album... All of her singles went top 10 too!

was saying that its only fair to compare artists most recent work as you can't compare a decade old albums sales to a new artists year old album.
obviously beyonce and gaga aren't better than madonna, but their recent albums/singles have outsold madonnas. that doesn't mean they're any better
than madonna overall as shes been in the industry for a long time (same as britney). but that doesn't excuse lower album sales... yes yes yes madonna
and britney have millions and millions more, but thats in the past and its stupid to bring up sales which are so unlikely in the music industry
now-a-days. so as i said initially, when comparing who sold more out of the fame and circus, only the artists most recent work should come into play
if someone wishes to debate.

Beautiful, Dirty, Rich floped hard and the label end up pulling the single

Love Game is a hit for her not a huge hit but a good hit

I think if someone can make it to their 4th record in their career, still make amazing pop music, have hits, sell decently then they have a career.
Otherwise they are just another pop act working it, trying to stay relevant. When Britney released "Toxic" off her fourth album "In The Zone". Not
only did critics love it, but it also did well on the charts and I believe showed she would be in this game for the long haul - she proved people
wrong.

I love how funny some of you are. In terms of an era, The Fame has completely shit all over Circus. In terms of sales, promotion, and an overall
album, The Fame is much better. The Fame is Gaga's pride and joy, Circus is Jive's money scheme with Britney's name behind it. Circus was made to
make money, so the majority of it's tracklist isn't that good. Some songs could have been singles, but the majority of the catalog is pop stuff
we've heard from her before. If you look at The Fame, a lot of those songs could be singles and could have done really well if given the chance.
Stop trying to defend Britney when it's evident Gaga is completely outdoing Britney at the moment. If you think Britney is completely outdoing Gaga
right now, you're delusional.
