"Burlesque" is a Screen Gems musical drama where Christina will play an ambitious small-town Iowa girl who has just lost her parents and has a big voice. She comes of age in a neo-burlesque club on Sunset Boulevard that's run by Tess (Cher), a former dancer who struggles to keep the club open and gives the young girl a chance to shine. Burlesque will feature 18 numbers.
"I finally believed in a movie enough and a script enough, and a director enough to sign on and do my first feature film. Cher will be starring with me, so it's very exciting for me to step into that project and I'll be taking it very seriously so that's actually what I am diving into filming over the next few months."

1. Christina wrote songs for the movie wich are "crazy good", according to Kristen Bell
2. Sia confirmed on her twiter that both she and Christina are writing a song for the movie.
3. Danja was confirmed to be producing music for the movie, according to Billboard.
4. Tricky Stewart told RapUp.com that he is producing music for the movie as well. He says it includes a lot of remakes and Christina's favorites.
5. DJ Premier said on a radio interview that none of the 9 songs he did with Christina would feature on her upcoming album, but they were still trying to make music for Burlesque.
6. The Score have confirmed via their twitter that one of their band-members, Taylor, will make an appearance in "Burlesque" playing the piano alongside Christina.
7. Alan Cumming, Tony-award winning musical artist, supposedly mentioned on the Frank DeCaro show on Sirius radio that he will be recording along with Cher and Christina for the Burlesque soundtrack. not confirmed
8. Claude Kelly gave an interview with singersroom.com where he confirmed he not only worked on music for Christina's next album, but also the Burlesque soundtrack.

Choregraphy
Jaquel Knight gave a post-VMA interview to Harlem Talk Radio where he talked about his involvement with "Burlesque", saying "it's going to be huge". He's done previous choreography work for Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video and Britney Spear's Circus tour.
