I'm watching her OHT now, if anything I think it's her catsuit that's "holding her back."  It seems really restricting but with that said, she is on fire.  I really forgot how amazing her dancing was in this show, the first four numbers alone blow anything she's done in years.   :anxiety:

I was thinking the same thing about the catsuit!  In the Overprotected Darkchild Remix video she has those long sleeves and she was also skinnier so her moves just had a lot more impact and wow factor. During Onyx the choreography for that number doesn’t have quite as much punch, except for the splits part which was always amazing.

  2. 1. Baby One More Time... (one of the greatest lead singles of all time and hit #1 in every country it charted)

    2. Oops!... I Did It Again (brilliant sophomore album lead imo)

    3. Womanizer (one of the biggest comebacks ever)

    4. Gimme More (just absolutely slayed)

    5. I’m a Slave 4 U (great choice to help evolve her image)

    6. Hold It Against Me (came in with a bang and was really different, but then faded into oblivion; good lead though)

    7. Work Bitch (not the best vocals, but memorable and has become a signature song and workout staple)

    8. Make Me... (great lead that deserved to do so much better)

    9. Me Against the Music (just okay and not very exciting; incredible video however)

  3. OKAY.

I know this won’t make me popular.....

I don’t think she did some of the choregraphy on the Onyx tour as good as she really could have.

Don’t get me wrong, she dances BRILLIANTLY in it, but the movements during parts like the breakdown of Overprotected don’t look near as good as good as they could have. It just seems like with each concert she was starting to phone it in in my opinion. The moves were kinda fast and not full on and every time I watch the performances, although they’re great, I just can’t help but wish she would have put just a little more into it. She doesn’t look like she’s enjoying herself as much as earlier shows.

I know that was still her prime, but you can tell she was starting to get really tired and needed a break. She wanted to settle down at that point and get married and have babies and she was over it in my opinion.

I honestly think they should have milked Femme Fatale for all it’s worth.

Inside Out for the US / Criminal for International

and then Drop Dead Beautiful to end the era.

    Drop Dead would’ve been huge!!!!

And Inside Out was just way too good mentioning her other songs in the chorus. It’s absolutely crazy it wasn’t released!!! I wish she sounded slightly more natural in it and on the album as a whole, but to end the era so badly with a song that bombed just doesn’t seem right. Every other single was top 10 and she could’ve had 2 more if they played their cards right!!!

She needed a new team a decade ago!

It would have made better sense to call the album 'Invitation' :urite:

Some tracks just seem out of place and would have sounded better in a different order

It just seems like she's pushed to do this sometimes.  :imok:

But it almost doesn’t make sense for her to even release albums at this point if they aren’t going to sell or make any impact. I just want her to do what makes her happy. I’m really tired of seeing her fail with the public. It’s just slowly weakening her legacy.

  6. It’s almost laughable just how many things could have and should have gone completely differently.......

•Use Billboard medley to promote first single from upcoming album

•Release original Make Me music video with David Lachapelle as the director

•Use original album photo shoot that went with the single artwork released for for first single Make Me

•Use original Make Me choreography seen in the rehearsal video with Charm

•Use original Make Me choreography during a live televised performance

•A memorable VMA performance that makes a mark and leaves a lasting impression instead of one that is highly forgettable and almost bad (the commercial was better than the actual performance.....)

•Perform on just one or two more shows such as GMA or AMAs

•Give an interview or two (instead of just walking through a mall.....)

•Choose a different album title (sorry, but she really let her kid choose the title?....)

    AND FINALLY.........

Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran and Bruno Mars will probably dominate the main categories. Kesha's "Praying" and Gaga's "Million Reasons" have a reasonable chance at Best Pop Solo Performance; Kelly's "Love So Soft" has a slim chance given the mediocre commercial success (but I think next year she'll be a formidable contender with Meaning of Life). I wouldn't be surprised if Lorde's Melodrama received some nominations as well.

Kelly Clarkson’s Heartbeat Song didn’t go top 20 and the album barely sold yet they were both nominated. I can see Love So Soft definitely being a nomination. Lorde is a good prediction! And you’re right about Kendrick, Ed, and Bruno. But I hope there are some good surprises! I just honestly hate when they nominate someone no one has even heard of.

  8. Stronger.

Nothing compares to that icy look and the stare from the beginning of that video. It is very striking visually and I’ve always loved that video. She just OWNED it. It was the video where she started to become a woman. Lucky was the last video geared towards everyone. With Stronger, she started becoming more sexual, but it was the perfect amount and she still appealed to young people and kids too.

She just looked perfect to me.

  9. Bruno deserves Grammys. His album, singles, music videos, AND tour have all been outstanding. Shawn Mendes has not had his big moment yet and I doubt he will be nominated, especially considering they’ve combined the male and female categories. There just won’t be room for him. Kelly Clarkson will most definitely get a nomination for Love So Soft considering her track record with the Grammys. Her album Meaning of Life won’t be eligible until 2019.

I think one of the biggest nominees could  actually end up being Kesha. I think Praying could get nominations for Record AND Song of the Year, with her album possibly getting an album of the year nod. With everything she’s gone though and this being her big comeback and also a pretty big reinvention, this could be her night.

  10. I think if The Orginal Doll album would have been released, the sales might not have been amazing, but I think it would have helped Britney’s career become better in the future. If she would have been given the chance to make the music she wanted, she could have truly reinvented herself later like Madonna and Janet and she would be huge right now. The ONLY reason Beyoncé is so big is because she has been consistent and is always in the headlines and people think it is “cool” to stan her and call her “Queen B”. Beyoncé was always good, but Britney was farrrrr above her. Nothing Beyoncé did was ever iconic. If Britney just had the chance and wasn’t controlled, her career would be thriving today.

It’s so sad to see what once was, and I truly hope and want to believe that there are still great things to come for Britney. It’s sad to see artists like Kelly Clarkson move to a new label and get to make the album of their dreams while Britney is still pretty much forced into making the same pop music she has her entire career. I don’t know about you, but I absolutely hate Femme Fatale because she was 100% controlled and nothing from that era was genuine at all. I think only recently with Glory have we gotten to see Britney have some input, definitely the most since In the Zone.
