  1. What can I say? The latest chapter in Taylor Swift's Reputation era has arrived. Swift surprised fans today (Oct. 19) when she seemingly out of nowhere announced plans to release a new song. It's titled "Gorgeous," the third taste from the singer's forthcoming album, Reputation, out Nov. 10. It's all part of Tay's elaborate plan to keep the focus on the new tunes. All of her Instagram posts disabled the comments section and she's reportedly not giving any interviews this era. One of her posts said "There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation." And here we are: "Gorgeous." On "Gorgeous," Taylor is hypnotized by a guy's physical beauty. "You're so gorgeous I can't say anything to your face," Swift sings over plunky synths. "Cause look at your face. You should take it as a compliment that I'm talking to everyone here but you / You should think about the consequence of you touching my hand in the darkened room / If you got a girlfriend I'm jealous of her / But if you're single that's honestly worse cause you're so gorgeous it actually hurts." "Gorgeous" is my least favorite of the three thus far. Something about Taylor drooling over how pretty a guy's face is just doesn't feel authentic. Especially when "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Ready For It?" are so aggressive; this just doesn't fit. As a buzz track? I'm here for it. Listen below: Thoughts on "Gorgeous?" Let us know in Exhale. 2. Pop emergency! Taylor Swift is unleashing a new Reputation track titled "Gorgeous" tonight at midnight. Cancel your schedule. Taylor will unveil a new song tonight at midnight (EST). It's rare when she posts anything on Instagram these days, but the singer took a moment to tease the new tune. From what I can make of it, "Gorgeous" sounds like another punchy pop jam similar to "Look" and "Ready For It?" It's also giving me "Welcome To New York" teas. Give it a play below: Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  3. Defying gravity. Charlie Puth defies gravity in his new music video for "How Long." Puth traverses buildings and manipulates gravity in his head spinning new clip. He might look innocent in his tailored suit and shiny shoes as he Hotline Blings his way down a deserted city street, but he's no angel. On "How Long," Puth himself trying to explain why he cheated on his girl. "I'll admit, I was wrong / What else can I say, girl," he sings over an infectious clap and soaring falsetto background vocals. "Can't you break my head and not my heart / I was drunk, I was gone / But don't make it right / But promise there were no feelings involved." She's not buying it. "She said 'Boy, tell me honestly / Was it real or just for show?' She said 'Save your apologies' / Baby, I just gotta know." Watch the polished video below. Thoughts on the "How Long" video? 4. Hits are being made. If you're having trouble viewing this Stackerdecks post: Click Here Hits are being made. We know Lady Gaga is teaming up with DJ White Shadow for her new album, a followup to 2016's Joanne, and it's in the works as we speak(!!!). The pop star previously confirmed his role in a birthday note she wrote him: “Happy Birthday to my favorite producer and friend. I love you. Can’t wait to write this next album together,” it read. Related: DJ White Shadow Teases Lady Gaga ‘ARTPOP’ Era Track “Tea”: Listen Since Gaga postponed the European leg of the Joanne tour (she has since rescheduled), the singer has been holed up in the studio with DJWS, including Wednesday night (Oct. 18). Gaga shared a couple of snaps on her Instagram, and she's looking really great. If you didn't believe music can heal, check out Gaga's new pics up top. Are YOU excited for Gaga's new album? 5. The choreography though. I mean, the title said it all. Related: Fifth Harmony Performs “Don’t Say You Love Me” On TRL Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  6. Doesn't have to end. Julia Michaels now has a feature with Justin Bieber. Bloodpop is refreshing his song with vocals from the "Issues" singer. It makes complete sense – she co-wrote the track with the producer, Justin Bieber (allegedly) and her songwriting partner in crime, Justin Tranter. There's nothing unexpected here. Julia's vocals interpolate with the Biebs. I'll bet money on it she recorded the entire track as a demo and handed it over to JB at one point for him to lay his vocals down. I love Julia, and Nervous System is seriously great, but Bieber's chilled breathy vocals on this just works better. Stream beginning at midnight: Thoughts on the remix? Let us know in Exhale. 7. Queen of hip-hop! No lies detected. Nicki Minaj gives herself a much-deserved pat on the back for bringing a female presence back into hip-hop and rap culture. She gave a telling interview to XXL and touched on the respect she received early on from industry heavy-hitters like Jay Z, Eminem and Kanye West. “My role in hip-hop has been super unique because when my first album came out, there had been so much time where there wasn’t a female rap album out that went platinum,” she explained. “There wasn’t a big female rap presence right before I got in. So, my role was really reintroducing the female rapper to pop culture.” Nicki also delves into hip-hop's influence on, well, everything. “I don’t think [female rappers] got that much credit. I think female rappers have always been dope and influential, but I think I sort of came in at a time where big business was paying attention, so I was able to capitalize off of a lot of deals and business ventures.” Internet trolls are trying to stir the pot. They're twisting Nicki's words around to make it appear like she's taking credit for Cardi B's recent chart topping feats with "Bodak Yellow," which is not the case. Minaj has undoubtedly rocked the industry like very few female MCs ever have; she spoke the truth. Watch below: Do YOU agree with Nicki? Let us know in Exhale. 8. Can't drink the pain away. Can't drink the pain away. There's no stopping Maroon 5. The band is determined to secure a smash, unleashing one song after the next off their forthcoming album Red Pill Blues. Frontman Adam Levine said they're not interested in releasing pop cuts this time around, but it's impossible for them to escape that sugary vortex. They're definitely trying, though. Following "What Lovers Do" featuring SZA and "Help Me Out" with Julia Michaels is "Whiskey" featuring A$AP Rocky, a reflective piano-driven ballad. "I never knew that love was blind / 'Til I was hers," Levine sings. "'But she was never mine/ Yeah, I was reckless, but I let it burn / 'Til she kissed me like a whiskey," he sings. A$AP Rocky also recalls a former flame from the bottom of the bottle. "I ain't like the other cognacs/ Or the type of cat that'd never call back/ Or lose contact when you're running out of rum and you make a run," he raps. "All of that tequila's a killer/ A little vodka break her off something proper/ Pop a cork and play spin the bottle." Ever had one of those drunken nights and longed for lost love? Yep, that's "Whiskey." Listen below beginning at midnight: Red Pill Blues will be released on November 3rd via Interscope Records. Thoughts on "Whiskey?" Let us know in Exhale. 9. "We cannot stand behind false allegations." The Pussycat Dolls issue a statement denying allegations made by a former self-proclaimed member. Kaya Jones says she was once a member of the Pussycat Dolls and walked away from a multi-million dollar recording contract because the girls were being sexualized and fed drugs. Read all of the accusations here. PCD creator Robin Antin has gone on the record and denied Jones' claims. She says Jones' statements are "disgusting, ridiculous lies" and believes she is using the news of the reunion as a platform to promote herself. More on that here as well. The Pussycat Dolls have also issued an official statement. They, too, reject Kaya's claims. Read it below: Jones responded by calling Antin a "predator" and cautions the media not to "discredit the victim." Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. 10. Follow the light. It's OFFICIALLY the holiday season. Mariah Carey has some serious competition from her pop peers this holiday season. Gwen Stefani already dropped her holiday album and Sia has one on the way, but they're no match for Miss Mariah. The Christmas chanteuse has a new Xmas song out. It's titled "The Star" and serves as the lead soundtrack song from the original animated film also named The Star. It's a power ballad about Jesus Christ. Who can compete with that? “One dark night something said follow the light / So you look up and see the word that’s written upon the sky," Carey sings. "Strong and wise / Keeping the lord as your guide / And through the doubt you realize he’s with you all the while / Follow that star above you should the world try to break you down / There is one that waits for you / Though you can’t see him now.” "The Star" is magical, mystical, Mariah. The track is available to stream beginning at midnight: Thoughts on "The Star?" Let us know in Exhale. 11. Cancel all your plans next month. A Britney-themed ramen cafe is opening up in Manila, Philippines, in November. SERIOUSLY. Britney and sodium are my two guilty pleasures. We don't know much other than the name. According to a Philippines-based Facebook fan page for the pop star, it's called In The Zone Ramen & Cafe. All other details will be revealed at a later date. Here is a link to book your flight from LAX to Manila. See you there! Thoughts on the Britney-themed ramen cafe? Let us know in Exhale. 12. Come through. Rihanna sneezed on the beat and the beat got sicker. The singer is hard at work on her ANTi followup. Singer-songwriter Shakka says the Navy can’t anticipate what’s about to come. “She’s definitely coming out with new stuff,” he told Capital XTRA. “The songs that we heard in that session, in that writing camp, were insane. It was absolutely insane. So I’m looking forward to it. Hopefully a bunch of my tracks make the album too,” he added. Related: Rihanna Enlists Drake’s “Passionfruit” Producer NaNa Rogues For New Album What does the music sound like? "I don’t even know the direction," he admitted. "You know what Rihanna’s like. You can’t anticipate anything. It’s just a bunch of different songs that are like ‘I didn’t think she would do that’ – it sounds sick.” All of a sudden I have a fever. 13. Ferocious. Marhsmello and Selena Gomez ready new song, "Wolves." Finally! A timeline. Gomez and Marhsmello have been teasing their new collaboration for months now. We now know it's called "Wolves" and drops next Wednesday, October 25. Gomez previously described the song as “beautiful,” adding that it's “one of my favorite songs.” See the announcements below: Are YOU excited for Selena's new tune with Marshmello? 14. "I wanted out." "It's off. It's released. I've released it." Michelle Williams is the butt of a lot of jokes on the Internet when it comes to Destiny's Child. It sucks, and it's wrong, and it hurt her at the height of the band's success. During her appearance on The Talk, Williams opened up about dealing with depression in her twenties despite ~having it all~. The singer was inspired by Demi Lovato's candid YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated; Demi opened up about past drug use and an ongoing battle with an eating disorder. Williams applauded Demi's bravery and willingness to "normalize" the topic of mental health before admitting her previous struggles – that life became so dark and heavy at one point she had contemplated suicide. "I didn't know until I was in my 30s what was going on," Williams said. "I just thought it was growing pains. I just thought, 'I'm turning into a woman.' I've been suffering since the ages of between 13 and 15. At that age, I didn't know what to call it." She added: "I'm in one of the top-selling female groups of all time, suffering with depression," she recalled. "When I disclosed it to our manager at the time, bless his heart, he was like, 'Y'all just signed a multi-million dollar deal and you're about to go on tour. What do you have to be depressed about?' So I was like, 'Oh, maybe I'm just tired.'" "I was to that place where it got so dark and heavy because sometimes you feel like, 'I'm the provider, I take care of people. I'm not supposed to be feeling this way. What do I do?' And I wanted out." Watch below: Thoughts on Williams' admission? Let us know in Exhale. 15. Kelly is the meaning of life. Kelly Clarkson is the meaning of life. It's officially a great day. Kelly Clarkson has unleashed her album title track, "Meaning Of Life," and it's soul on steroids. When you hold me, I finally see / When you say love," she sings on the soaring mid-tempo. "I know what it means / I was broke down so alone in the dark / Until you showed me the light (baby)." "'Meaning of Life’ is the song that started this entire project," Clarkson said of the track. "The vibe, soul and message of this song was very critical to show other writers and producers of the new direction we were taking." Listen to the high flying song below: Meaning of Life the album drops on October 27 via Atlantic Records. Thoughts on "Meaning Of Life?" Let us know in Exhale. 16. Her own “Despacito.” Camila Cabello is aiming to have her own "Despacito." The pop star has ditched her Sia-penned mainstream attempt, "Crying In The Club," because she struck gold with "Havana" featuring Young Thug. The Pharrell-produced track is charting pretty well around the world right now despite very little promotion. It's catchy ooh na na, and is about to get a huge surge in streams. According to Hits Daily Double, Camila is readying a remix of the track with Daddy Yankee. It's not clear if she's swapping out Young Thug or leaving him in, but Daddy Yankee will certainly give the track a healthy spike. Some fans of the singer were pulling for a solo version, but I think this is an ace move. Camila deserves to be an international superstar, and she's well on her way. Thoughts on Daddy Yankee jumping on "Havana?" Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  17. 2017 gets even weirder. Eric Trump is a fan of Britney Spears' painting video. Cringe. A Twitter user captioned the princess of pop's recent clip: "Britney Spears casually painting flowers on the balcony of her multi million dollar mansion with her tits out while listening to Mozart. A new renaissance is beginning." The Tweet has more than 275,000 likes and 100,000+ RTs. It even caught the attention of Donald Trump's son, Eric, who favorited the Tweet. Yup, 2017 gets even weirder. Thoughts on the masterpiece? Let us know in Exhale. 18. An inside look at Demi's life as a super star. Demi Lovato’s new documentary, Simply Complicated, is now available to stream on YouTube. It follows the pop star through the highs and lows of superstardom. To give you more insight, here’s some press release jargon from her reps: “Feeling really overwhelmed with love and support lately. I f–king love you all so much. My fans are the BEST IN THE UNIVERSE!!!” Demi told fans. Watch below: Thoughts on Simply Complicated? Let us know in Exhale. 19. Xtina? UPDATE: It does indeed appear that Demi's dream collaboration is with Christina. The two both followed each other on Instagram today, and it's rare that Xtina follows anyone. Demi Lovato's having the best month ever. She just released a new album, Tell Me You Love Me, which took the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200, and unleashed her candid YouTube documentary titled Simply Complicated. If you thought Demi was focusing on just her new tunes, think again. The pop star hopped on Twitter and revealed she's got another new song in the works, and with someone she's always longed to collaborate with. "Recording a DREAM COLLABORATION today!!!!," she wrote. "Dreams DO come true!!!!!!!!" Her Twitter mentions are going insane with speculation. The names that are popping up the most include Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Beyonce and Selena Gomez. My money is on Christina Aguilera – Demi mentioned a few times recently that Tell Me You Love Me was inspired by Stripped. And Aguilera is supposed to release a new album some time this century – maybe it'll land on there? Who do YOU think Demi is recording with? Let us know in Exhale. 20. We'll move to an island. Taylor Swift is letting the music do the talking. When Swift first announced Reputation, she included what Swifties believe is a lyric from the album title track: "There will be no further explanation. There will just be reputation." That explains why the pop star has decided to hold off on the press cycle this era. She is literally just releasing music and letting US do the talking. Smart! Lazy, but smart! How do we know this? A fan who attended Swift's not-so-secret Secret Sessions in London last week claims Taylor's father Scott confirmed so. Thoughts on Taylor no longer giving interviews? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  21. She's got some things to say. Pink's seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma is exactly that. The singer might seem like she has it all: fame, fortune, a steady marriage and two beautiful kids, but on Beautiful Trauma, Pink reveals there's more to her than meets the eye. Pink kicked off the era with "What About Us," a mid-tempo sleepy power ballad that's social-political commentary on how tumultuous (and terrible) recent times have been. She quickly followed up with "Whatever You Want," a radio-friendly cut that will soundtrack her inevitable aerial performances quite perfectly. And despite her best efforts, "Revenge" also made the rounds. It features Eminem, and doesn't sound like how you'd expect it to – it's playful and, as she puts it, really "funny." But there's some real sadness on Beautiful Trauma, as well. "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" is really heavy. "I will have to die for this I fear / There's rage and terror and there's sickness here," she sings over a somber piano. "I fight because I have to / I fight for us to know the truth." And on "Secrets," P!nk gets vulnerable. "I let the walls come down / I let the monster out, and it's coming after me," she croons over a sugary beat and warm background vocals. "Do you feel exposed where it hurts the most? / Can you wear it on your sleeve?" It's very cliché to say an artist's latest project is their most personal effort to date, but it's been five years since P!nk unleashed a pop record on us, and she's "got some things to say." Stream Beautiful Trauma below: What do YOU think about Pink's new album? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  22. Fiery. Nicki Minaj explains exactly. What. She. MF. Meant. Last week, Nicki's XXL interview made the rounds because she said she "my role was really reintroducing the female rapper to pop culture.” Somewhere along the line, the media twisted her words around and made it appear like she meant that she made female rappers mainstream. That sent the rap Queen off. She posted a fiery message on Instagram to clarify. "I see ppl remixing my words so let me post 'exactly' what I said for the intelligent ones in the back," she wrote. "Now, if you can find the part where I said 'I made female rappers mainstream', I'll give you $100,000.00. blogs & tv shows don't care to do actual research these days, they only care about what grabs your attention... at anyone's expense." Related: Nicki Minaj Says New Album Is “Everything In My Life Coming Full Circle” She goes on to list some female super stars who made waves before her. "When I came out, there had been a drought of a few years where NO female rap album had gone platinum, females weren't getting budgets, the industry did NOT believe in the female rapper anymore," she continued. "They had stopped generating MONEY for labels. Ask any rap historian or just anyone with a brain. These are facts and nothing but the facts. So I 'REINTRODUCED' the 'successful' female rapper back to POP CULTURE. Showed big business we were major players in the game just like the boys were. ♥️?? love you guys for holding me down but what's true is true & whats not is just simply not." I'm scared to offer my own two cents on this ("update your blogs & tv shows with what I actually said please," she said), so I'll just let Nicki do the talking this time. Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  23. Tastes like Pepsi Cola. Alleged sexual abuser Harvey Weinstein is reportedly the subject of Lana Del Rey’s Paradise cut “Cola.” “I got sweet taste for men who're older / It's always been so it's no surprise,” Lana sings. She even name-checks him. “Harvey's in the sky with diamonds and it's making me crazy / All he wants to do is party with his pretty baby.” And “I know your wife, and she wouldn’t mind.” That’s unsettling. Page Six broke the news. Their source claims the song is “ironic” because Lana was not interested in him at all. They add that Weinstein pursued her, but “she rebuffed him, she had a boyfriend.” The disgraced Hollywood exec also freaked after learning his name was mentioned in the song. “Harvey went bananas and insisted Del Rey change the lyrics, which she did, removing Harvey’s name, so the line now goes, “Ah he’s in the sky with diamonds and he’s making me crazy.” You can hear Harvey’s name in the version below. It’s the song that keeps on giving #MyPu$$yTastesLikePepsiCola Thoughts on "Cola" now that you know what you know? Let us know in Exhale. 24. TRL is happening. Fifth Harmony dropped by TRL to perform two cuts off their self-titled album. 25. You can't make this ish up... or can you? You can't make this ish up... or can you? Justin Timberlake is basically confirmed to headline the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show. All we need is an official announcement from the NFL. They're probably waiting for the buzz to die down before a final answer. This new report from the ever-reliable (kidding) RadarOnline adds fuel to the speculation fire. They're claiming the NFL had JT sign a non-nudity clause in his Super Bowl contract. You know why, but Radar's source (it's always a ~source~) clarified. “The last time Justin performed was with Janet Jackson, 51, and he[sic] nipple was exposed to the world,” they said. “Now the NFL wants to make sure that never happens again.” They add: "Putting a nudity clause in his contract is the only responsible thing to do.” If this is true, which it probably is, it's most likely a standard that every headliner has to abide by. Personally, I want JT to pull another stunt that would go down in history. It's not like he'll ever perform at the Super Bowl again. I say... LET'S SEE SOME SKIN!!! Thoughts on the non-nudity clause? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
