  1. You can't make this ish up... or can you? You can't make this ish up... or can you? Justin Timberlake is basically confirmed to headline the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Show. All we need is an official announcement from the NFL. They're probably waiting for the buzz to die down before a final answer. This new report from the ever-reliable (kidding) RadarOnline adds fuel to the speculation fire. They're claiming the NFL had JT sign a non-nudity clause in his Super Bowl contract. You know why, but Radar's source (it's always a ~source~) clarified. “The last time Justin performed was with Janet Jackson, 51, and he[sic] nipple was exposed to the world,” they said. “Now the NFL wants to make sure that never happens again.” They add: "Putting a nudity clause in his contract is the only responsible thing to do.” If this is true, which it probably is, it's most likely a standard that every headliner has to abide by. Personally, I want JT to pull another stunt that would go down in history. It's not like he'll ever perform at the Super Bowl again. I say... LET'S SEE SOME SKIN!!! Thoughts on the non-nudity clause? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  2. An inside look at Demi's life as a super star. Demi Lovato’s new documentary, Simply Complicated, is now available to stream on YouTube. It follows the pop star through the highs and lows of superstardom. To give you more insight, here’s some press release jargon from her reps: “Feeling really overwhelmed with love and support lately. I f–king love you all so much. My fans are the BEST IN THE UNIVERSE!!!” Demi told fans. Watch below: Thoughts on Simply Complicated? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  3. Center of attention. Halsey is the center of attention in new live performances. The hopeless fountain kingdom singer took a break from touring with Charli XCX for a moment to sing a couple of songs on the Elvis Duran Show this week. Halsey performed her latest single, "Bad At Love," as well as an unlikely cover of Charlie Puth's Top 5 song "Attention." The production for both is low-key and slinky, which made for an especially interesting take on Puth's song. Give them a play below: Thoughts on Halsey's performances? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  4. 2017 gets even weirder. Eric Trump is a fan of Britney Spears' painting video. Cringe. A Twitter user captioned the princess of pop's recent clip: "Britney Spears casually painting flowers on the balcony of her multi million dollar mansion with her tits out while listening to Mozart. A new renaissance is beginning." The Tweet has more than 275,000 likes and 100,000+ RTs. It even caught the attention of Donald Trump's son, Eric, who favorited the Tweet. Yup, 2017 gets even weirder. Thoughts on the masterpiece? Let us know in Exhale. 5. We're in a bit of a Beyonce drought right now. We're in a bit of a Beyonce drought right now. The singer is most likely laying down new tracks and readying her next global takeover, but until then we have a couple of remixes to tie us over. She recently hopped on J Balvin and Willy William's "Mi Gente," which blasted to No. 3 on the Hot 100, and has another re-working in the works. Naughty Boy cooked up a "chilled" remix of their 2015 collab, “Runnin’ (Lose It All).” The producer teased 30-seconds of it on social media. He stripped out the production gymnastics for a somber piano melody. Bey’s vocals are untouched, but given the new instrumentation it sounds fresh. To be perfectly honest, the original is pretty chilled, so it'll be interesting to see hear the full version. Listen: The original: Thoughts on the remix thus far? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  6. What about Pink. Denied. Pink says she asked Mary J Blige to collaborate back in 2000, but was turned down in the most frank way possible. In a new interview with the Morning Mashup, the Beautiful Trauma singer spilled the tea. “I went in her trailer a long time ago, I think it was when I hosted the Lady of Soul Train, or Soul Train Awards," she recalled. "I walked into her trailer and I was like, ‘Hi! Would you ever work with me?’ She just took one look at me and she goes, ‘No.’ I go, ‘Okay. I love you, Mary. I’ll see you again.’” It's all good though. “I like her style,” she continued. “That’s what I love about her,” she added. “I respect it.” Clearly P!nk has done just fine for herself. Would you be down for a Pink / Mary J collab? Let us know in Exhale. And while you're at it... leave a comment and follow us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and subscribe to our YouTube channel.
  7. Still in the recording phase. We'll have to wait a little longer for new music from Avril Lavigne. The singer had plans to release her new album in the fourth quarter, but that's apparently no longer happening. She even stopped teasing a timeline, telling fans recently she "can’t wait to share the new music I’m working on, I promise it’ll be here before you know it!!” An Avril fan account on Twitter shared a screen shot of their private message with BMG, who claim the record won't premiere until the new year. Take this with a grain of salt, but it doesn't seem like Avril is anywhere near finished. She's still in the recording phase. It's been four years since we've had a new album from Avril. What's a couple more months? Are YOU excited for Avril's new record? Let us know in Exhale. 8. Puppies Are Forever. Sia's coming for Mariah Carey's Christmas crown. Sia has a new holiday record on the way. It’s titled Everyday Is Christmas and drops Nov. 17. It features original songs like “Santa’s Coming for Us,” “Ho Ho Ho,” and “Puppies Are Forever.” Check out the album art starring (per usual) Maddie Ziegler and track list below: Thoughts? 9. Made by a former Pussycat Dolls member. Pussycat Dolls creator Robin Antin is denying some very serious allegations made by a self-proclaimed former Pussycat Doll. All signs are pointing to a reunion for the Pussycat Dolls, and it sparked some MAJOR buzz. It also brought out an interesting and very dark revelation (if true) from a woman named Kaya Jones. She claims to have been part of the band and unleashed some damning statements about the band's past. “My truth.I wasn’t in a girl group. I was in a prostitution ring.Oh & we happened to sing & be famous. While everyone who owned us made the $,” she said on Twitter. “How bad was it?people ask-bad enough that I walked away from my dreams, bandmates&a 13 million dollar record deal.We knew we were going to#1” She adds she wants “the den mother from hell,” most likely referring to Antin, to “confess why another 1 of her girl group girls committed suicide?Tell the public how you mentally broke us.” Jones is referring to G.R.L. member Simone Battle. Battle tragically took her own life in 2014. “To be apart of the team you must be a team player.Meaning sleep with whoever they say.If you dont they have nothing on you to leverage,” she continued. “Yes I said leverage. Meaning after they turn you out or get you hooked on drugs they use it against you.Correct.Victimizing the victim again. To the dolls that stayed&artists I’ve worked with who knew&know the truth speak up! When the truth is shown be on the right side of history. To anyone thinking I’ve made this up, why would I want to have a target on my back/claim to have been used & abused? Not exactly a good look.” Antin is reportedly planning legal action against Jones if she doesn't cease and desist and called the Tweets “disgusting, ridiculous lies,” says Jones is “clearly looking for her 15 minutes.” BreatheHeavy interviewed Jones in 2014. Check that out here. Read the full Tweet chain below: If you're having trouble viewing this Stackerdecks post: Click Here Do you believe Jones? Let us know in Exhale. 10. TRL is happening. Fifth Harmony dropped by TRL to perform two cuts off their self-titled album. I'll get into the ratings slump later today, but for now watch Fifth Harmony perform “Don’t Say You Love Me” and "He Like That" on TRL. 11. A lyric video is now online. Demi Lovato shared a lyric video for Tell Me You Love Me cut "Hitchhiker." Demi's new documentary, Simply Complicated, is now available to stream on YouTube. A lot of eyes are on her channel right now, so she used the moment to promote one of her new tunes. It looks as if Demi wants to make "Hitchhiker" the next official single off the record(!!!). Why else would she upload a shiny new lyric video? I am extremely impressed Demi is promoting "Hitchhiker." It's one of my favorite tracks off her new album and will sound incredible live in-concert. "Games" next, sis. Thoughts on Demi's potential next single? Let us know in Exhale. 12. NaNaNa come on. NaNaNa come on. We don't know much about Rihanna's ANTi followup besides that it probably won't feature a Diplo collab. One little gem of information trickled out today, however. It could include songs from producer NaNa Rogues. He's responsible for Section Boyz hit song “Trapping Ain’t Dead”, Skepta, Bashy & Kano’s underground smash "Can’t See Me Again" and Drake's "Passionfruit." Watch him spill the tea in a new interview: R9 is off to a great start. Thoughts on Rih collaborating with NaNa? Let us know in Exhale. 13. And... she's back! And... she's back! Lady Gaga was forced to postpone the European leg of her Joanne tour due to complications with chronic pain. "It is complicated and difficult to explain, and we are trying to figure it out," she said at the time. "I am looking forward to touring again soon, but I have to be with my doctors right now so I can be strong and perform for you all for the next 60 years or more. I love you so much." Related: Lady Gaga Is Back In The Recording Studio Gaga took several weeks off of the grind to heal and get her mind right - hosting live meditation sessions and exuding gratefulness. 14. “Super, super iconic.” If you're having trouble viewing this Stackerdecks post: Click Here Nicki Minaj's forthcoming album will be her most personal yet. The Queen of Rap has never sounded more confident. She spilled a couple of details about her new record to the New York Times, telling them it's carefully thought out and cohesive. "Sonically, I know what the album’s about to sound like," she says. "I know what this album is gonna mean to my fans. This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy. It feels almost like a celebration." Minaj added: "the last album, ‘The Pink Print,’ was almost like my diary, closing the chapter on certain things and not knowing if I was happy or sad about beginning new chapters. I was really writing about feeling unsure. Now, I can tell you guys what happened for the last two years of my life. I know who I am. I am getting Nicki Minaj figured out with this album and I’m loving her.” And yes, she's thought of a title for it, but remained tight-lipped. She did reveal that it's “super, super iconic,” though. 15. But there's a catch. Want to be an American Idol? Better purchase a ticket to one of Katy Perry's shows then. This is a little strange. American Idol announced plans for pop-up auditions at Katy Perry’s upcoming Witness concerts. There's one taking place at her show in Nashville on Oct. 18. The cringeworthy part? You MUST have a ticket to Katy's show if you want to try out. There could be several explanations to this interesting strategy. 1.) Katy is very busy, so to accommodate her touring schedule they are hosting auditions wherever her shows are. They reportedly paid her $25 million to judge, and they're going to squeak out every once of publicity. 2.) They are trying to sweeten the pot and encourage ticket sales. Smart. 3.) That's all I got. Look, you can become the next American Idol. You just have to watch Katy Perry perform first. Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. 16. Produced by Stargate. Tinashe is one of the most underrated artists in the game, but she might finally get the recognition she deserves with a shiny new single rumored to drop next month. You are probably tired of trying to predict when Tinashe's forthcoming album will debut, but perhaps it's finally near (evil laughs). Rumor has it the "2 On" singer is readying a new single with Future titled "Faded Love." According to the Internet, which is never wrong, it will premiere on Nov. 10 and is produced by Stargate (the duo behind Beyonce's "Irreplaceable," among many others). Does Nov. 10 sound familiar? It's the same day Taylor Swift's new record Reputation is slated to premiere and overshadow literally everything. You may recall the two collaborated on Aquarius track "How Many Times." If true: huge YES to a new Tinashe song! Huge NO to the tentative release date. As usual, nothing is confirmed... yet. Are YOU excited for a new Tinashe single? Let us know in Exhale. 17. At a kebab shop. Taylor Swift's Reputation took her to London. The singer held a not-so-secret Secret Sessions album preview event for 100 lucky fans in London this weekend. The hand-picked Taylor stans got to listen to Reputation in full before it drops Nov. 10. They probably signed a ridiculously scary non-disclosure, because details of how the album sounds are scarce. But Tay Tay wasn't able to keep everything a secret. A new music video, reportedly shot by director Joseph Kahn ("Look What You Made Me Do"), was widely documented. What do we know? She looks really great. Here's a scene where Taylor looks longingly out of the backseat of a car: Taylor has remained relatively unseen this era, but that's all about to change. Just wait for it. Now I'm hungry/ Thoughts on Taylor's new video shoot? Let us know in Exhale. 18. Demi and Miley land in the Top 5. Shania Twain's first album in 15 years hit the top of the charts. It was worth the wait. Shania's new record Now opened with pretty solid numbers. According to Billboard, the country singer sold 137,000 equivalent album units. Here's a copy + paste excerpt from BB about why this is a big deal: Of that sum, 134,000 were in traditional album sales -- the third-largest sales week for a country album in 2017, and the largest for a woman in nearly two years. Now, which was released on Sept. 29 through Mercury Nashville, is Twain’s second No. 1 album and the first chart-topping country set by a female artist in over three years. Now is the second country album to hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017, following Thomas Rhett’s Life Changes. Now is also the first country set by a woman to lead the chart in over three years, since Miranda Lambert’s Platinum spent a week at No. 1 (June 21, 2014). Additionally, Now notches the third-biggest sales week for a country album in 2017. Quite the comeback! But it's also worth mentioning her competition. The late Tom Petty (and The Heartbreakers) returned to the charts as well. The Greatest Hits compilation moved 84,000 units. That blocked Demi Lovato's new record, Tell Me You Love Me, from debuting at No. 2. She comes in at No. 3 with 74,000 units (48,000 in traditional album sales). Rapper A Boogie Wit da Hoodie's new album, The Bigger Artist, soars to No. 4 with 67,000 units (10,000 in traditional album sales). Then there's Miley. Poor Miley. Younger Now scooched into the Top 5 at No. 5 with 45,000 units (33,000 in traditional album sales). Thoughts on Shania's big debut? Let us know in Exhale. 21. Yes, yes it is. Alesso and Anitta team up for synthy dance track "Is That For Me." It was only a matter of time before the label-mates jumped on a track together. The Swedish producer enlisted the Brazilian pop star for his warbly new tune. On it, Anitta sings about catching feelings – entirely in English. “Singing in a different language is a challenge, but ‘Will I See You’ was so much fun to create,” says Anitta. “My Brazilian supporters gave the song so much love and so I’m very excited for my old and new fans from all over the world to hear this one.” They also unleashed a music video for it today (Oct. 13). In it, Anitta dons several interesting outfits (I appreciate the metal cans) as she sings in a bed of lily pads, in front of an enormous tree and on top of a canoe. Alesso is also in the clip, but he's more of a prop. Just... standing and sitting lifelessly while Anitta soaks up the spotlight. The song is your obvious EDM jam, and the video is pleasant to look at, but there's nothing extra special about it. Why is that problematic? If Anitta wants to break into the US mainstream music scene, she'll need something more creative than this. It's a good start. Check it out below: Thoughts on the "Is That for Me" video? 22. Watch performances from JLo, Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani, Bruno Mars and more. Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Demi Lovato, Gwen Stefani, Bruno Mars and more performed at the ‘Somos Live!’ Concert for Disaster Relief televised fundraiser event to aid support for Puerto Rico. President Trump has handled the ongoing crisis in Puerto Rico so poorly that A-list celebrities are taking matters into their own hands. Right now, most of Puerto Rico is still without power, the death toll is consistently rising and the water is contaminated. Read more about it here. A live-stream of the telethon was beamed to MTV on the weekend, as well as two benefit concerts broadcast on Telemundo, VH1 and Univision. It also boasted performances from Maroon 5, Coldplay and Ricky Martin. Handling the telephones was Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Kim Kardashian, Bethenny Frankel, Heidi Klum, Jamie Foxx and Lopez’s boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez. 23. "What About Us" and "Beautiful Trauma." P!nk performed "What About Us" and the album title track on Saturday Night Live. It's been 10 years since she has appeared on SNL, but P!nk broke that streak on Saturday where she performed two of the album tracks off her recently-released new album, Beautiful Trauma. 24. Engaged! Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are engaged! The world feels like a dark and terrible place some times, but here's a ray of sunshine: Joe Jonas and Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, 21, are getting married. This is great news! Unless of course you secretly thought it would be YOU that ended up with Joe. Admit it. The pop star confirmed the news on Instagram: "She said yes," he captioned a photo showing off Turner's engagement ring. Turner shared the photo with a similar caption: "I said yes." No exclamation points? Alright. And because the Internet has no chill, people are speculating that she is pregnant. See what's good below: Thoughts? Let us know in Exhale. 25. She's got some things to say. Pink's seventh studio album Beautiful Trauma is exactly that. The singer might seem like she has it all: fame, fortune, a steady marriage and two beautiful kids, but on Beautiful Trauma, Pink reveals there's more to her than meets the eye. Pink kicked off the era with "What About Us," a mid-tempo sleepy power ballad that's social-political commentary on how tumultuous (and terrible) recent times have been. She quickly followed up with "Whatever You Want," a radio-friendly cut that will soundtrack her inevitable aerial performances quite perfectly. And despite her best efforts, "Revenge" also made the rounds. It features Eminem, and doesn't sound like how you'd expect it to – it's playful and, as she puts it, really "funny." But there's some real sadness on Beautiful Trauma, as well. "Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken" is really heavy. "I will have to die for this I fear / There's rage and terror and there's sickness here," she sings over a somber piano. "I fight because I have to / I fight for us to know the truth." And on "Secrets," P!nk gets vulnerable. "I let the walls come down / I let the monster out, and it's coming after me," she croons over a sugary beat and warm background vocals. "Do you feel exposed where it hurts the most? / Can you wear it on your sleeve?" It's very cliché to say an artist's latest project is their most personal effort to date, but it's been five years since P!nk unleashed a pop record on us, and she's "got some things to say." Stream Beautiful Trauma below: What do YOU think about Pink's new album? Let us know in Exhale.
