The first interview ever for Apple Music is none other than the legendary Eminem.
Plus, this hilariously awkward "interview" with Stephen Colbert happened.
Beats 1 Radio host Zane Lowe interviewed Eminem as Apple Music's first-ever interview guest today.Eminem recently announced his "Phenomenal" music video for the Southpaw film soundtrack will debut July 3, but its his passion overseeing the film's soundtrack that's got us talking. The film stars Jake Gyllenhaal, though Eminem was also considered for the role but couldn't due to scheduling complications with recording 2013's The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Fortunately for us, Eminem executive produced the Southpaw record instead. "I wouldn't change a thing," Eminem told Lowe. "Jake smashed it. The movie's incredible." They briefly discuss Em's starring role in "8 Mile" in the hopes to see him back on the silver screen.
"For me, I have fun doing little cameos, too. That is fun to me because it's not... when you're doing a movie like that, you have to commit. I don't have trouble necessarily committing to things. It has to be... I gotta be super passionate about... It has to be strong enough to get my interest."They also talk about performing "Lose Yourself," working relentlessly ("it was fun, but it wasn't"), the grueling aspects of touring and having fun in his career currently.
