Ed Sheeran Performs Acoustic Version Of “Shape Of You”

Every day discovering something brand new.

After a year without the Internet (or a mobile phone), Ed Sheeran is officially back on the scene. The Grammy Award winning singer is making the rounds since dropping his two new Divide songs, "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hill," his latest appearance being with Capital FM.

The interview produced an acoustic performance of "Shape of You," which broke Spotify's single-day streams record ("Castle on the Hill" takes the No. 2 position), as well as the revelation he'll appear on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke.

“I’ve been in touch with James Corden about this for three years because he wanted me to do the first one, and I just wasn’t around,” Sheeran said. “But I can confirm that at some point this year I will be doing a Carpool Karaoke.”

Ed admits feeling “awkward” singing to his own songs, but has a plan.

“I think I’ll just want to put on some Biggie,” he told Kemp. “I want to put on something really awkward and dirty like Biggie’s song ‘Big Booty Hoes’ or something like that.”
