Ed Sheeran's ego is getting a little out of hand.
It's understandable – the singer is ruling the charts around the world with his lead Divide single, "Shape Of You, and there's no signs of slowing down. Ed says in a new interview that most of 2017 belongs to him. “I have a feeling about it. Seventeen is my lucky number, and everyone I was scared of releasing of albums around me released them all last year... people like Beyonce and The Weekend and Bruno Mars,” he says in a new interview with BBC.
Then he reveals this interesting bit about bestie Taylor Swift's 1989 followup timeline. "Taylor isn't going to be releasing until probably the end of this year -- Christmas is the smartest time to release because that's when everyone buys records," he continued. "So I've got a full year of just all Ed, all the time." As Idolator points out, that notion is awfully presumptuous considering Lorde, Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake and Kanye West have albums in the works for 2017.
Remember, the higher up you are... the harder the fall.
