dumblonde are crafting a followup to 2015's self-titled album.
After more than a decade in the music industry, a peculiar series of events lead Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex to run from the tumultuous vortex of Danity Kane and into the open arms of their newly-formed electro-pop alter ego, dumblonde. They released a record which featured "white lightning," "eyes on horizon," "tender green life," "remember me" and "dreamsicle," and their colorful catalogue is getting another addition: "White Hot Lies."
Aubrey shared a teaser of their retro throwback jam, which finds the blonde duo singing about the bliss in a white lie.

Earlier this year, Aubrey said she and Shannon were taking their time to "get [the album] exactly how we want it," adding: "we're being pushed creatively. We're back in the studio with the same team." If the dream team remains the same, that means songwriter Candice Pillay, and producers R8DIO Dem Jointz are officially signed on for dumblonde 2.0, and we like the sound of that.
"We're gonna take a completely different direction with this album," Aubrey added. "It's gonna be unexpected, and we're playing with a new sound that isn't familiar to us."
