Last month, Spotify released their list of the most streamed songs of the summer, and to no one’s surprise… Drake topped it with his first No. 1 single “One Dance” (“Hotline Bling” peaked at No. 2).
The Views rapper is carrying that feat all the way into winter and beyond, because the song is officially the most played song on the streaming platform ever with 880 million streams, beating out the previous record-holder “Lean On” (by Major Lazer and DJ Snake featuring MØ), which saw 526 million global plays.

Upon its April release, VIEWS, in particular, broke many streaming records, despite being a two-week Apple Music exclusive. In its first week, the album’s tracks were played over 245 million times in the United States, on its way to becoming the nation’s No. 1 record. The next two weeks, it racked up 141 million and 186 million streams, respectively, setting a record for the three biggest streaming weeks ever.
