Drake’s “More Life” Hits One Billion Streams After Three Weeks

There’s no stopping Champagne Papi.

Drake’s hugely popular “More Life” has surpassed one billion (yes, with a ‘b’) streams in just three weeks since it was released, shattering records yet again.

The project - dubbed a playlist instead of an official album - has topped the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks and given Drizzy his latest mega-hit with the solo “Passionfruit”, despite featuring collaborations with heavyweight names like Kanye West.

According to Billboard, this is almost double the number of streams of Ed Sheeran’s seemingly inescapable “÷”, which currently has almost 600 million streams itself.

When compared to the British singer, Drake’s success is even more staggering. Though, it shouldn’t come as a surprise given that his last album “Views” is the most streamed LP of all time with almost 3.5 billion streams.

Last month the “One Dance” hitmaker announced he was taking a long break after six years of back-to-back releases. Imagine the numbers his next release will do after a break? Wow.
