This is too good.
Drake dropped his new album Views Thursday night after a "global listening party" on his Apple Music show OVO Sound on Beats 1. It boasts collaborations from Future, Kanye West, the late Pimp C, Jamaican dancehall king Popcaan, and dvsn and PartyNextDoor and Rihanna.
Prior to the release, Drake spoke with Zane Lowe about the album's creation, including his collaboration with Rihanna on "Too Good."
“She got in the studio and just bodied it,” he said. “It was flawless victory when she sent it back. Everything was perfect.”
The duo spent nine weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with Rihanna's lead ANTi single "Work." Before that, they collaborated on “Take Care” and “What’s My Name,” and Drake new Views needed her magic touch again.
“It wouldn’t be a record without Rihanna,” he said. “We do well together as a team.”
The song plays off their rumored romance together and love that's taken for granted. “I’m too good to you,” they sing together. “I’m way too good to you / You take my love for granted / I just don’t understand it.”
