Drake, Rihanna, Adele, Beyonce And Justin Bieber Receive Multiple Nominations At The American Music Awards

Drake received 13 nominations at The American Music Awards, the most by any artist ever.

As if Drizzy didn't break enough records, the Toronto rapper's arm is getting twisted to ensure he shows up to the event which air live on November 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC (he broke Michael Jackson's record of 11 in 1984). His noms include Artist of the Year, Favorite Male Artist, Favorite Album, Favorite Rap Artist and Favorite Rap Song.

Rihanna also racked up the nominations this year with seven, including Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year and Video of the year (with Drake). Adele and Justin Bieber could also win big in the AOTY category.

The American Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com, including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring. They're also based on votes by the people, for the people. In other words, the AMAs are essentially the Billboard Music Awards Part II.
