So much for the surprise. UPDATE: Check out the official single cover:
Star-studded videos are always welcomed.
Madonna is pushing her Rebel Heart era forward with her third single off the LP, "Bitch I'm Madonna," and it looks like the upcoming visual for the release will be one hell of a star-studded affair.
On Wednesday (June 3), the pop queen took to Instagram to share some sick fan art (courtesy of @Robster16), admitting that the video will include "many surprise guests." Someone needs to inform Madge that it's not so much of a surprise if you actually tag all the folks in the same exact post. Yup, Madonna took the liberty of hinting at the 6 people that appear in the video, including Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Rita Ora, Diplo, Jeremy Scott and, of course, the track's resident femcee Nicki Minaj. Just a few weeks back, it appeared as if Miley’ BFF and The Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne also filmed a little cameo for the visual.
Fansite DrownedMadonna reported that the video will be directed by Jonas Akerlund and drop in two weeks. A remix EP will also be released around the same time.
As much as I love "Bitch I'm Madonna," I really don't see it catching more waves than the LP's first two singles, but that has more to do with Madonna's current day image than the quality of the track. It might just be best for her to release music for the fun of it regardless of commercial success. Then again, she is still snatching #1 singles (even if it's on Billboard's Dance Club Songs chart), so who knows? You do have to give it up for her hustle though.
