Demi Lovato teases her surprising and honest song "Father."
Lovato is sharing previews of every song off her album Confident by hiding "Confident boxes" around random cities and requesting fans retrieve them. Each capsule is something off the new record, whether it's behind-the-scenes footage of her in the recording studio, or a never-before-heard song snippet. Lovato's shared clips for "Yes," "Wildfire," "Lionheart," "Kingdom Come" featuring Iggy Azalea, "Waitin For You" featuring Sirah, and her power ballad titled "Stone Cold."
Today (Oct. 8), Lovato shares the intimate song "Father," a track she says will surprise fans.
"I am particularly excited for this song - for people to hear - one because I get very very honest about the passing of my dad," she told Billboard last month. "My fans expect me to be honest. What I think that people in general aren't going to expect is the way that I sing the song. I kind of took it more to a soulful, gospel sound. It's a song I think I might be most proud of on the album."
