Say hello to Dumblonde!
It looks like blondes do have more fun, at least according to former Danity Kane sisters Aubrey O'Day and Shannon Bex. On Sunday (March 29), the singers took to social media to unveil their collaborative duo act called Dumblonde, and I couldn't be more ready.
Based off a quick read of their website biography, O'Day and Bex's indie pop debut will have "strong dance and alternative influences" much like The Ting Tings and La Roux. Even though it's been less than a year since Danity Kane's (second) explosive break-up, the bandmates clearly had similar sentiments towards their fellow DK songstress Dawn Richard and went to work on the post-DK project as early as last winter.
Today begins a new chapter. Thank you for always standing by us, this new music project is for… https://t.co/zxxh6m9LAQ

If you're been following the duo on Instagram, you've probably seen them working alongside some creative folks including Dem Jointz and Candice Pillay. They've also already filmed a string of music videos with the help of some famed directors like Alfredo Flores (Justin Bieber, Mariah Carey), Justin Jones (Soulja Boy) and Rage.
Dumblonde will give fans a taste of what they've been cooking in the kitchen during an exclusive in studio listening session on April 11. O'Day and Bex will hold the gathering to play their entire EP as well get into the goods with some Q&A time in Los Angeles. Tickets can be purchased at Soundrink.com for a cool $100 a pop.
O'Day and Bex are expected to make their first official appearance as a Dumblonde later today at the 2015 IHeartRadio Music Award, which will air at 8pm ET/PT on NBC.
