Coldplay released the video today for the second single off their latest album.
The Superbowl headliners' new video was filmed at Salvation Mountain in the Colorado Desert, with the help of director Marcus Haney. With its vintage, grainy look and colorful imagery, the "Birds" video can best be described as artsy-fartsy, as it foregoes a storyline and instead focuses solely on the visual. Throughout the video, blurry shots of the band are interspersed with images of the beach, an anonymous woman and, you guessed it, birds.
Although not as entertaining as the British band's "Adventure of a Lifetime" video, "Birds" has a nice dreamy quality that's pleasant to watch.
