Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking.
Ciara announced earlier this year she was canceling her Jackie Tour because she was instead “currently in the process of making the best album of my career!” While Cici continues recording the record, which she recently said was her “best body of work for sure,” the “Dance Like We’re Making Love” singer lands on the new cover of Essence magazine.
In the issue, Ciara opens up about her dreams of superstardom as a youngster, becoming a bother, the Future drama and her current relationship with Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.
On being a mother:
“I’d always wanted to have my own family,” she said. “And my pregnancy was planned when I was at a point in my life when I was finally ready to take on the responsibility.”
Splitting with ex Future:
“That wasn’t necessarily part of my vision, but the moment I realized I was going to be a single mother, I had to reflect and reorganize my thoughts. I decided to trust that God had a plan for me, and move forward one day at a time.”
Her relationship with Wilson:
“I remember telling my friend the kind of guy I wanted: a God-fearing man with a very fun spirit who loves kids and would really, truly care for me. I was very specific because I do believe you can have it all.”
