Christina Aguilera Is Reportedly Being Considered For The Super Bowl Halftime Show

Christina Aguilera is reportedly one of several talents being considered to headline next year's Super Bowl Halftime show.

If true, this could be the best news of 2017.

A few weeks ago, rumors ran rampant that Justin Timberlake and JAY Z were most likely taking the coveted slot, but a more-recent report quotes an unidentified source (who apparently knows JAY) and refutes that claim. The BBC posted a story about it today, and threw in a couple of names that I hadn't heard yet, including Rihanna, Justin Bieber and CHRISTINA AGUILERA.

I'm not convinced the Super Bowl is something Rihanna would take on right now in her career, and I definitely don't see JB doing it considering he just cancelled the duration of his Purpose Tour to rest.

Real talk: I also don't see Xtina doing it considering she keeps threatening to release new music for years now and still nothing. Then again, February is a ways away. That could give the pop star enough time to put the finishing touches on her new tunes and get in Fighter form for the gig. I'd be here for it (and the onslaught of Internet memes).

Can you imagine young children being exposed to "Dirrty?" Lives would change.
