Aguilera says "I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track."
Christina Aguilera continues makes another stride towards dominating television with a musical game show.
Christina's feet are firmly planted in the world of TV thanks to her reoccurring role as a judge on NBC's The Voice, cameos on Nashville and a recent appearance on Spike TV's Lip Sync Battle, but Aguilera is looking to expand her brand as a executive producer of an innovative musical game called Tracks which will debut later this year on Spike.
The competition series will put famous artists on teams of two and ask them to name a song title just by listening to the track's individual parts, like the guitar, bass, vocals etc. and they must decide if it's their own tune or someone else's, reports Billboard.
“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track — with a twist — since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song," Aguilera said in a statement. “I’m excited to have Tracks debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate."
As of now, Aguilera will not host the show. She must be too busy teaching online courses.
