Charli XCX Teams Up With Japanese Pop Star Kyary Pamyu Pamyu On “Crazy Crazy”

Charli XCX shares a bit of her craziness with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.

Charli is testing the waters with her recently-released single "After The Afterparty" featuring Lil Yachty. As it trickles up the Billboard Hot 100, the British pop star is finalizing her forthcoming record, which she reportedly said will drop in May (despite claiming nearly a year ago it was completely done). One song she could include is "Crazy Crazy," an electro-thumping hybrid between something PC Music's Danny Harle would create and plunky virtual glitch-pop heard in Japan.

"I’m crazy going crazy / Feet are lifting off the ground," they sing. "I’m crazy going crazy / Head is spinning in the clouds."

“Crazy Crazy” drops January 18, 2017. Listen to a teaser here:

Earlier this year, the Sucker singer told The Standard she planned on “putting a record out soon and it’s going to be the most pop thing I’ve done." She added: "I’m just finishing it but I can’t say anything yet. I’ve been in LA chilling and it’s great to be back in London.”
