Charli XCX is hosting yet another after-afterparty as she just dropped a very special, all-women remix of her latest single.
Pop’s party girl reunites with Rita Ora on the V.I.P Mix of “After the Afterparty," which also features RAYE and rapper Stefflon Don. It’s a very London, girl power affair - and we love it.
The original’s airy pop vibes have been put in the PC Music blender by Danny L Harle and given dance overhauls by Jax Jones and Alan Walker but this one doesn’t stray too far from the O.G. production.
Rita, RAYE and Stefflon handle the verses, celebrating London life, talking boys and getting flashy, while Charli is relegated to chorus status.
Which guest delivered the best lines? Rita comes close with her “Charli, Charli, where the party / Rent a black ‘rari, raisin’ that trunk” but I think RAYE takes it away during the final verse.
“Glitter glitter in my hair, in my shoes / In my teeth, and I think I found the one,” RAYE recalls the night we’ve all had. "Can’t stand up, walk straight / Talk right, can you pour me one more?"
RAYE is currently enjoying a breakout moment as the featured singer on Jax Jones’ hit “You Don’t Know Me,” while Stefflon Don is making noise with her debut mixtape “Real Ting.” Get familiar!
