Chains And Whips Excite DNCE In New Song “Be Mean”

DNCE mix pain with pleasure in new song “Be Mean.”

DNCE have dropped one feel-good song after another off their forthcoming self-titled album out Nov. 18, and their latest is extra self-indulgent.

Following “Body Moves,” “Blown” and “Good Day” is another boisterous tune titled “Be Mean” about embracing your inner Christian Grey. The band originally live-premiered it during a show in the Bahamas back in March, but the studio version, sans the screaming girls, really spotlights the Beach Boys-esque chorus and blaring electric guitar.

There’s no shortage of kinky ear worms in their sticky new tune as they sing about bedroom domination.

They say you like the torture honey
But don’t forget the whip
My left hand’s getting loose
But don’t let me slip
You said you got some handcuffs
We’ll throw out the key
I don’t need a safe word
But you don’t gotta save me
