P!nk is using her talents to help Céline Dion grieve husband Rene Angelil's death.
The pop star wrote a song titled "Recovering" for Dion, which will land on the iconic singer's forthcoming English album. It's a tribute to Dion's late husband who passed away from throat cancer in January.
"She is phenomenal. I love her for her talent, for her strength, for her focus, the person she is," Dion told ET of P!nk at the Billboard Music Awards back in May. "When I saw her, I said, 'For you to take the time to really write a song, to give me a tool, a piece of luggage to help me to move forward to walk to keep going…"
In "Recovering," Dion sings about her journey to find peace again after an emotionally trying year backed only by a somber piano.
“Little by little, day by day / One step at a time / Shake off the devil / Take back my piece of mind,” Dion sings. “I am recovering / Anxiety addict / a broken perfectionist / somewhat erratic / I am recovering.”
Rumor has it Dion will perform the song at the Stand Up To Cancer telecast this Friday (Sep. 9).
