Bonnie McKee: No One Expects Britney To Sing Live

Bonnie McKee: No One Expects Britney To Sing Live. It's OK

Singer/song-writer Bonnie McKee threw some shade at our Brit Brit during a new interview with MySpace, and the Army isn’t thrilled.

MySpace reporter Liz Culley asks Bonnie McKee about seeing Piece Of Me, and her reaction is priceless.

“It was great…………………,” she said with a blank stare and a robotic nod.

“Britney Spears is great. No one expects her to sing. No, it’s fine. It’s OK. She’s an entertainer. Everybody loves the songs. Everybody’s singing every word.”

She goes on to talk about recording demos for the “Femme Fatale” album (training her voice to sound like a baby) and the inspiration behind the title “Hold It Against Me.”

Mmm hmm. And the fact she’s getting her nails done while all this is going down? I can’t.

Starts at 2:45:

BreatheHeavy Shoots The Shit With Wendy Williams

I waited for Wendy Williams to arrive to the “Women’s Largest Bachelorette Party” at Tao Beach in Las Vegas on Saturday in the sweltering heat. She showed up for pictures before requesting our interview get moved to her private cabana. I followed her behind a fleet of security guards, friends and her husband.

I’m like ‘relax, Beyonce.’

Wendy was poured a glass of champagne and immediately took a shot. That’s when I knew this would be an interesting interview. Or, maybe it was when I saw her change into a white mesh something-or-other over her bathing suit and bejeweled tiara.

I mentioned writing several stories this year about her view on Brit Brit’s Piece Of Me Show.

Sky Ferreira: Britney Is “My Favorite Pop Star”

Sky Ferreira: Britney Is "My Favorite Pop Star"

Sky Ferreira says Britney is her JAM when she wants to rock out to pop music, and recounts her experiene seeing the Dream Within A Dream tour.

In a recent interview with iHeart, the “Everything Is Embarrassing” singer says Britney is sort of dark, but admires she never changed for the industry or her peers:

POP MUSIC: “I loved any Britney. I also loved Spice Girls. I have to say, I think Britney Spears is my favorite pop star, if you’re going to go super, super pop star, besides Madonna. The thing about Britney Spears is there’s something a little weird and dark about her obviously — it’s genuinely dark — but I love how she’s never changed or never tried to catch up. I notice a lot of them get really weird and they try to catch up to the younger girls, or they’re threatened in some weird way about that. She embraces them; she always becomes friends with them and sings on their songs, but also she still f***ing dresses the same from like 2001. She’s still wearing her thongs outside her jeans. That’s why she’s so much cooler that everyone else.”

CONCERTS: “My favorite concert of all time I’ve ever been to was the Dream Within A Dream Britney Spears tour. My dad didn’t have any money or anything, and for my birthday, it was a big deal that I even was able to go to a concert. I wasn’t able to unless my grandmother was working on one or something. He took me and we had like top of the nosebleed section at Staples Center, and it was still the best night of my life because I could even see her from up there.

It was just so insane and she was so good. I don’t care if people were like, ‘She’s singing to track.’ Who doesn’t? That’s the thing. Back then, she was kind of untouchable. I never got to experience the Beatles or even Michael Jackson when Michael Jackson was at his peak; I never got to experience those things. I always saw them when they were older, like the Rolling Stones and stuff like that. Any band that I really love, I’d only saw them when they were over. I can say I saw Britney Spears. That’s like the one I saw at her peak.”

Sky also says she sang “Lucky” for Michael Jackson inside his recording studio at Neverland.

So basically she’s a Britney stan and will forever remain flawless.

Time: Still Obsessed With Britney Spears 16 Years Later

Time: Britney One Of The Most Obsessed Over Celebs On The Internet

Britney Spears is one of the 100 Most Obsessed-Over People on the Web, according to TIME.

TIME collected data from celebrities’ Wikipedia pages, including the number of words, links to other Wikipedia pages, external links and categories that person was in. Then, using a “very simple algorithm,” they combined those and several other factors into a single estimate of the page’s “prominence,” an imperfect term for how important a person is on the site.

Brit Brit landed at #16 with a score of 31.71.

Madonna, Beyonce, Janet Jackson and Christina Aguilera beat out the Queen in their list.

Christina Aguilera more obsessed over on the Internet than Britney? Gurl bye. Buying

Sia: I Gave Britney Spears “Perfume”

Sia: I Gave Britney Spears "Perfume"

Britney and Sia worked together on a few songs for “Britney Jean,” her most personal album to date, but some fans are up in arms after the “Chandelier” singer said she GAVE Brit “Perfume,” insinuating the two never actually wrote together.

Sia tells VH1 about songs she’s given to other artists:

“I mean I did like ‘Perfume.’ I would have kept that for myself, but Britney [Spears] is a really sweet gal and I was happy to give it away…

Britney, oh yeah, I did write with Britney! [Laughs] “Perfume” I wrote that with Christopher Braide and I delivered it to them… Most of the time I don’t work with the artist because I’m so fast it often dilutes the process. I’m like channeling, what I’m doing. So when I have anyone interrupting that flow, it just slows me down. But there are obviously artists that I make exceptions for.”

She clarifies in the interview she DID in fact write with Brit Brit, but it’s a little hazay. Do you think some fans are twisting Sia’s words?
