Carly Rae Jepsen’s Fourth Studio Album Reportedly Titled ‘Spread Love’

A step in the right direction.

Carly Rae Jepsen's forthcoming album is one of the most-anticipated releases of the year (says me). She's spent a couple of years making it, and has already more than 50 tracks recored for it.

What's the name of her new pop opus? According to a screen capture taken when Shazamming her new song "Cut To The Feeling" for the Leap! soundtrack, it's titled Spread Love.

Her previous album, E•MO•TION, had an '80s flair to it, but Spread Love will revel in disco. "I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be (…) But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff," Jepsen recently told the Vancouver Sun. "It’s fun to dig into oldies and see what you can celebrate about it, like a good movie or good song — to take your favourite pieces of something and add some new stuff to create something different."

She's working with some major game changers, including Patrick Berger (produced behind Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own”), Noonie Bao, Patrik Berger (Charli XCX’s “Boom Clap”), Miike Snow’s Pontus Winnberg, as one-half of Bloodshy & Avant, Jack Antonoff, The Knocks and Charli XCX.

The song title feels a bit basic, but the message is more important than ever; I'm here for it.
