Despite the harrowing tragedy that took place in Orlando on Sunday, Carly Rae Jepsen, Jojo, Charli XCX & Rita Ora put on a brave face to perform at L.A. pride.
Police arrested a 20-year-old Indiana man who claimed he was headed toward the LA Pride festival after someone reported his suspicious behavior. A search turned up three assault rifles, high-capacity magazines, ammunition and a 5-gallon bucket with chemicals that could be used to create an explosive device, officials tell CNN. Fortunately, he was caught and detained before any further mass destruction. L.A. pride-goers did not cower in the face of fear, instead they continued celebrating the LGBTQ community with help from some of pop's leading ladies.
Carly Rae Jepsen performed “Call Me Maybe,” “I Really Like You” and a few other Emotion hits.
