Camila Cabello continues her ascent towards solo super stardom by collaborating with Major Lazer.
Producers Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire of Major Lazer hold the record for the most streamed song on Spotify ever with "Lean On," a collaboration alongside DJ Snake and Danish singer MØ. As producers do, they're looking to outshine their previous effort with something more viral, and they've enlisted Fifth Harmon's Camila Cabello for help.
Diplo shared a clip of Cabello in the studio with him on his SnapChat, playing a cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car.” The story also included the 19-year-old cooing the words "Major Lazer" into the mic.

It's one more step in distancing herself from Fifth Harmony, which she's remained pretty transparent about in the last year. “Honestly, I think we all do," she told Latina magazine last year when asked if 5H would eventually break up. "We’d be lying if we all said this is a picture- perfect thing, like we all completely agreed on the album track list and what the sound and the music-video treatment would be like, which usually happens in bands who grew up together. But for manufactured bands, it’s harder. The cool part is that we allow one another to do our own thing within this thing. I think it’s healthy because if not, personally, I would go insane.”
The song is most likely for Major Lazer's next installment versus something for Cabello to stash away for her inevitable solo album.
