Bruno Mars’s Album Title Track “24k Magic” Is Pure Gold: Watch The Video

Bruno Mars released the Vegas-themed music video for his album title track 24k Magic.

Four years have passed since Bruno Mars’s multi-Platinum Unorthodox Jukebox, which produced several massive singles, including “Locked Out Of Heaven,” “Treasure” and “When I Was Your Man.” He followed it up with arguably the biggest hit of his career when he teamed up with Mark Ronson on “Uptown Funk,” and he’s looking to strike gold again with his anthemic new single “24k Magic” off his album of the same name (out Nov. 18 via Atlantic). Not only did Mars release the single, but a glitzy music video showing off the finer things Sin City has to offer: lavish hotel parties, private jets, abundance of cash money and flashing lights.

“I’m a dangerous man with some money in my pocket (keep up) / So many pretty girls around me and they waking up the rocket (keep up),” Mars sings over throwback synth production while him and his squad rock gold bling and clutch champagne. It’s luxurious and a fresh reminder our lives are basic in comparison.

The powerhouse vocalist alerted fans earlier in the night of his plans (not before pulling a little prank first): “Not only am I releasing the single AND the album cover,” he Tweeted, “IMMA DROP THE 24k MAGIC MUSIC VIDEO ON DAT ASS TONIGHT!!!!! LETS GOOOO!! #24kMagic”

Mars started work on the album after finishing up his tour last year, his engineer Charles Moniz confirmed. “I think it’s going to be the next movement of Bruno,” he said. The mood in the studio is “about having fun. It’s about everyone coming together and having a good time,” he continued. “That’s the thing: When the vibe’s right and everyone’s having fun, that’s when the best music comes out.”

Skrillex is also taking part in Mars’s forthcoming album which is rumored to drop in November. “I’m actually working with Bruno Mars right now,” Skrillex said earlier this year. “I’m not going to give specifics of what it sounds like, but what we’re doing is so fucking different, awesome and next level and sounds like nothing else that’s happened before.”

Fans won’t have to wait long to hear his new catalogue, because, according to Mars, it’s finished.
