First came the Osbournes. Then came Nick and Jessica. Now newlyweds Britney Spears and Kevin Federline are stepping inside the reality ring.
UPN President Dawn Ostroff just signed the pop superstar to a six-show deal where Spears will expose her most private and intimate moments on TV for the first time.
"It's very un-glamorous," Ostroff admitted. "It's a side to celebrities you've never seen before. These are two people who, while they were getting to know each other, were shooting each other."
So unlike "Newlyweds" Nick and Jessica, this is a show of home movies. "Britney and Kevin have been shooting their entire courtship and their entire relationship," Ostroff said.
Ostroff won a bidding war for the series, which includes Britney's wedding video, by joining forces with MTV. "Together we were able to really formulate an offer that was even more interesting because it was reaching viewers on two different networks," Ostroff explained.
But Britney isn't the only big name coming to UPN. Denise Richards is starring in a new pilot called "Wildlife," and Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, and even Chris Rock are working with the network.
"We have another show called, 'Everyone Hates Chris,' which is loosely based on Chris' real life story," Ostroff revealed.
So look to UPN for what's sure to be a fantastic TV season.
