Breaking: Gunman Opens Fire At Route 91 Harvest Country Festival In Las Vegas

One gunman opened fire at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas Sunday night.

UPDATE: Las Vegas police confirm: One gunman is responsible, a man who resided in Las Vegas. He has been killed.

More than 20 people died and more than 100 people injured.



EARLIER:

Video footage posted to the Internet shows people at the concert running in a panic. Some sort of automatic assault weapon or weapons were used.

Multiple people have been killed and 24 wounded, a local hospital spokesperson confirmed.


The gunman was stationed on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and took fire at the crowd on ground zero nearby. It is also believed there was a gunman positioned at the New York New York hotel and another at the Luxor hotel, though that is also still unconfirmed.

At the time of posting (11:30 pm PST), Las Vegas was under lock down. Flights were put on hold, the I-15 freeway was shut down and hotels near Mandalay Bay were not allowing anyone to enter or exit.
