Blake Shelton says his duet with girlfriend Gwen Stefani might be the best song he ever wrote.
Shelton's latest single "Came Here To Forget" is a pity party for one. How does Shelton fix his broken heart after recalling painful memories following his split with ex Miranda Lambert? Getting lit at the bar.
His new boo Gwen Stefani also recently went through a tumultuous breakup. Her 13-year marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale went up in flames after he reportedly cheated on her with the nanny (it's always the nanny).
Stefani and Shelton shared their heartache with one another, then patched it up by jumping into a romantic relationship – and now they're making the cheesiest move two famous musicians could make... recording a song together about, what else? Heartbreak.
Stefani Tweeted a photo of the back of Shelton's upcoming record and revealed she's on a song titled “Go Ahead And Break My Heart.”
"Look what I found lying round the house," she said. "?#ispymyname #goaheadandbreakmyheart? @blakeshelton #eeeekkkk! #crazy!? Gx"

How'd that come about?
“We finally got a mock-up of the album, what the artwork was going to look like. And we flip it over and it has all the songs. I said, ‘You know what? Take a picture of that and tweet it,’” Shelton told ET. “It'll be our way to announce that yes, we have a duet together.”
“[The song] is very personal for us both because, you know, we obviously have this bond that is remarkable together,” he said.
Shelton goes on to say the two co-wrote the song together.
"I know that I don't co-write that much because I'm very insecure about it I guess and [Gwen’s] kind of got her circle of people that she writes with. But for us to reach out to each other as writers, it may never happen again, who knows.”
He adds, “I hesitate to brag on it too much but I really think that it's as good of a song as I've ever written in my life.”
