Whether Lil Wayne leaves Cash Money Records or not, Nicki Minaj and Drake "ain't goin' nowhere."
That coming from the co-founder of Cash Money Records who faces a $51 million lawsuit from Weezy after claiming he's owed millions of dollars from the label because they reportedly refused to release his Tha Carter V record. In a bid to remove himself from Cash Money, Wayne put forth the Free Weezy Album exclusively on TIDAL several weeks ago and that resulted in a $50 million lawsuit of their own from Cash Money. Are you following?
One thing's for sure though, it is damn near impossible to leave Cash Money - even if you're Nicki Minaj or Drake, two of the world's biggest names in hip-hop. If Lil Wayne is somehow release from his contract with Cash Money, "Nicki [Minaj] and Drake ain't going nowhere regardless," Birdman says in a new interview with Power 105.1. He also reveals in the two-minute teaser (the full interview debuts later today) that Lil Wayne's trash talking "fucked my day up."
"That was shocking to everybody. You never thought Mula would be saying nothing negative about me ever, in no lifetime," he said. "I never thought that could ever happen -- for that man to open his mouth and say something negative about me... that was a lot. Shit fucked my day up. I love my son. He mean the world to me. For that man to say something negative about me, that affected my life."
