– Most simultaneous tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 (17 in December 2015)
– Most simultaneous new entries on the Hot 100 by a solo artist (13)
– First act to land the three top spots on UK singles chart simultaneously (“Love Yourself” at No. 1, “Sorry” at No. 2 and “What Do You Mean?” at No. 3)
– Most Twitter followers of any male (82,235,563)
– Most YouTube subscribers of any male (20,711,202)
– Most viewed YouTube music channel (10,478,651,389)



■ The Weeknd received two spots in the 2017 edition of the Guinness World Records thanks to 2015’s Beauty Behind The Madness. (1) It was the most streamed album on Spotify in one year (60 million unique listeners) which (2) allowed him to spend the most consecutive weeks in the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 (45 to be exact) as a solo male artist.

■ A SWAT team was sent to Chris Brown’s home in Tarzana, CA after a woman called police claiming Brown threatened her with a gun. TMZ reports police seized weapons and drugs at Brown’s house “after Chris threw a duffel bag out the window” and told cops “come and get me.”

The ordeal inspired Brown to record a couple of f**k the police videos:


Brown later surrendered himself to police.
