■ James Franco wrote a book about Lana Del Rey titled Flip-Side: Real and Imaginary Conversations with Lana Del Rey out March 15, 2016. Franco wanted the "Honeymoon" singer to take a hands-on role with the book, however she passed. “Just write around me, it’s better if it’s not my own words,” Del Rey says. “It’s almost better if you don’t get me exactly, but try.” [StereoGum]
■ Katy Perry is selling her new perfume, Mad Potion, via a Twitter pop-up shop. Followers who want to smell like their favorite pop star can purchase the scent directly through Twitter's Buy Now card for $30, starting Wednesday. [THR]

Speaking of... Ariana Grande teased her new fragrance that "smells like a dream" out in September appropriately titled Ari. Her website describes it as "an ultra-feminine florally passionately spun with musks and woods and an addictive hint of marshmallow.” Kind of gross.

■ Nick Jonas was caught hanging out with Selena Gomez recently. "We kind of ran into each other a couple of weeks ago, like walking in Venice," he told Capital FM's Max Akhtar. "We were both with separate groups of friends and we ran into each other," he said. "I put a dinner together with a bunch of really great people, like the Haim girls, who I love. They're awesome. Chris Brown can't leave the Philippines. Though he fulfilled his performance obligations, authorities barred him from leaving after several promoters demanded he pay damages after apparently not showing for an appearance last New Year's Eve. The situation forced Brown to look in the mirror, who posted a photo with some self-reflection as a result of his latest real-life encounter, saying:
