Coldplay want to jazz up their halftime performance with cameos from Beyonce and Rihanna.
Coldplay are in negotiations with Beyonce and Rihanna to make cameos during their Super Bowl halftime show.
We wondered what Beyonce and Jay Z were up to at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA last week. Though fans speculated she was filming a music video, the latest rumors suggest it's meant for her appearance during Coldplay's Super Bowl performance. According to a report from the Mirror, Beyonce would sing her feature on A Head Full Of Dreams track "Hymn for the Weekend" as well as "Up & Up."
Also in talks is Rihanna, who should most definitely use the major platform to launch an upcoming ANTi single, but instead would sing her part on "Princess of China."
A source said: “Chris and his band know they’re not typically as showy as recent performers like Katy Perry and Madonna with all the dancers and, while they love a light show, they still want to bring a few surprises out."
They added, “Beyonce and Rihanna are both keen to join in the high-profile ceremony and will add just the spark needed to make it an amazing and unforgettable show.”
We're here for it, but neither "Princess of China" or "Hymn for the Weekend" scream Super Bowl songs to us. It actually screams desperation.
