After over a decade of togetherness, the Carters will release a collaborative album.
Beyonce posed a lot of questions with her recent LP Lemonade, which lands at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week, and we may get some answers. It was reported Jay Z is crafting a response record, but it could be a joint effort.
"Sources confirmed" to the NY Post the two are releasing an album together. Their “surprise album is complete, and it will drop on [Jay Z’s] streaming service Tidal very soon.” Another unconfirmed little birdie said “Jay and Beyoncé were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade. It’s more their style to respond through music.”
Earlier this year, producer Detail ("Drunk In Love") said he had been working on the project for a minute. "Me and Beyoncé and Jay Z are actually doing something this year," he said. "When you think of Bey and Jay together, you think 'album'... You should already know!"
When he was asked if the album was going to be released this year, he says in his "imaginary mind, I will work to say it's true."
Here's to another set of songs like "Drunk In Love," "Deja Vu" and "Upgrade U"!
