UPDATE // MAY 2:

Bebe Rexha's new song "The Way I Are" featuring Lil Wayne drops in two weeks.

The singer dished on the collab in a new radio interview. “So I have a single... called ‘The Way I Are’ featuring Lil Wayne and it’s… taken from the Whitney Houston song ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody,'” She added, “so the hook is ‘I just wanna dance with somebody, I just wanna dance with somebody.’ So it’s really cool and Wayne does a crazy verse on it.”

She also reveals she and Wayne shot a music video for it with Director X (Drake's "Hotline Bling") "I’m excited for the world to hear it… it’s coming out in two weeks."

EARLIER // APRIL 13:

Bebe Rexha previews her new collaboration with Lil Wayne.

Earlier this month, Bebe Rexha revealed she has a collaboration with Lil Wayne in the works for part II of her All Your Fault EP. At the time of her interview, the song was titled "The Way I Are," but there's been an update. She hopped on Instagram Live to reveal the track was renamed to "Dance With Somebody," then played a preview of it. A little while later, she shared a separate preview that included Lil Wayne's verse. The tune references Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. "I could never sing like Whitney, and [Lil Wayne] can never dance like Bobby, but we just wanna dance with somebody," she explained of its meaning.

Rexha sings Houston's iconic lyric, "I wanna dance with somebody" over a low-key beat.

Bebe says the track is about "being like, 'I don't care who the fuck you are, just love me for who I am. I want to love you for the way you are and let's just dance. Let's enjoy life.'" She adds they're "shooting the craziest video" and the song drops sometime this month. Listen:

In February, Bebe Rexha released the first installment. It features collaborations from Ty Dolla $ign and G-Eazy, the latter of which got a proper music video. She also shared a remix EP for the project's lead single, "I Got You."
