Up-and-coming star Bebe Rexha has finally got around to debuting the video for "I'm Gonna Show You Crazy".
Despite releasing the follow up to her debut effort "I Can't Stop Drinking About You" at the end of last year, Bebe has only just premiered a music video to accompany her second single.
It's a rebellious clip that features the 25 year old singer-songwriter taking a leap back into the school system for a tale of teen angst and non-conformity. Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, who most recently worked on Ariana Grande's "Love Me Harder", the visual features jolting shots and earthquake-esque camera work, which theoretically fits the rock-tinged pop song quite well.
It's an enjoyable enough video but the concept strays into the overly-literal at points. What's more, for a song that is reasonably sharp, it's all a little tame and there's nothing cute about someone in their mid-twenties shooting a MV in a high-school, even if Rexha does look inexplicably young for her age. The track is hot and certainly deserves a huge amount more attention than it's getting, but this video doesn't feel like the way to go about that.
In slightly more promising news, Bebe - who also co-wrote Tinashe's current single "All Hands On Deck" - will be releasing her first extended release on May 12, entitled "I Don't Wanna Grow Up", which feels appropriate given her most recent music video. We've already heard two of the five tracks featured on the EP, but we've got the title track as well as "Pray" and "Sweet Beginnings" to look forward to.
