Bebe’s preparing to give “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” the promotional push it needs to hit gold.
She might be sitting pretty inside the top 10 this week thanks to her contribution to David Guetta and Nicki Minaj’s “Hey Mama”, but don’t forget that Bebe Rexha has a solo-career worth writing home about too. Despite releasing the video for “I’m Gonna Show You Crazy” well over a month ago, Rexha’s latest offering has yet to gain any sort of traction outside of the blogosphere. Hopefully with a couple more performances like this one, that won’t be a problem anymore:
Whilst by no means a pitch-perfect rendition of what could be 2015’s biggest sleeper hit, Rexha is a passionate and engaging live performer. She looks flawless and has a command of the, um, stage (read: tiny studio) that plenty of multi-platinum artists would kill for. If Bebe can build some hype and get herself onto a larger platform (both figuratively and literally) there’s no reason why she shouldn’t take off in a very meaningful way. She’s got the sound, she’s got the attitude, she’s even got the numerous high-profile collaborations and co-writes, surely it’s just a matter of time?
