Banks Is Drained On New ‘Altar’ Cut “To The Hilt”

Banks is on a roll with a number of moody cuts off her forthcoming album The Altar.

She freaked us out with a narcissistic video for "F**k With Myself" then almost immediately released an electrifying S&M-themed visual for "Gemini Feed." She also dropped the Eleven-inspired "Mind Games," but today (Sep. 16), the 28-year-old indie-pop star is sharing her rawest Altar cut yet: “To The Hilt.”

Banks stripped away anything remotely cheery in it, cooing over a somber piano about the trials and tribulations from lost love.

"Hated you for leavin' me / You were my muse for so long," she sings. "Now I'm drained creatively and I miss you on my team / Hated you for walkin' out / I blew up and you're gone."

If you ex left you recently, hold off on this one.
