Lindsey Stirling Braves Radio Festival Performance

Lindsey Stirling Braves Radio Festival Performance

Lindsey Stirling is breaking into the music scene as a dancing violinist, and that is a feat of its own.

The 28-year-old performance artist released an EP earlier this year called “Shatter Me,” and currently performs shows all over the world. I caught up with Lindsey at the MIX 94.1 Bite of Las Vegas music festival over the weekend to chat about her latest projects.

“This is my first radio show. I’m pretty excited about it,” she told me during our sit down interview backstage. “I’ve been working these last couple months to get my song on the radio and it’s starting to happen!”

There’s a big difference between a radio festival and shows her fans buy tickets to – there’s a lot more pressure now because not everyone is familiar with her.

Lady Gaga Was Reborn This Way, Baby

Lady Gaga Was Reborn This Way, Baby

After speaking with Lady Gaga over the phone for nearly half an hour last weekend while she tours in Europe, I gathered she is an old soul. Exactly why she and her 88-year-old music counterpart, Tony Bennett, perform so well together on their new jazz album, “Cheek To Cheek.”

Download “Cheek to Cheek” (Deluxe Version) on iTunes.

She expressed to me time and time again how happy she is, and it makes sense. She’s in more control of her music, her image and her body now than ever before. Becoming a pop super star came at a price, and right now she’s unwilling to sacrifice.

I asked how she was doing.

Watch Maroon 5′s “Animals” Music Video

Watch Maroon 5's "Animals" Music Video

Adam Levine is a piece of meat in his new music video for “Animals.”

It’s always flattering when someone finds you attractive. Maybe they want to take you out on a date. You know, grab a steak dinner, maybe a little cuddle sesh afterwards. That perfectly describes Maroon 5′s new “Animals” music video by director Samuel Bayer (“Payphone”). Oh, and the intense stalking, meat hugging, blood bathing psychotic stalking episode splashed in there.

The prey, played by Adam’s wife model Behati Prinsloo, has no idea she’s being chased throughout the video, yet they suddenly begin hooking up. It’s up to the viewer to decide if his (literal) crazy charm seduced her into bed, or if it’s simply his twisted fantasy.

Very Justin Timberlake “Cry Me A River.”

Fergie’s “L.A. Love (La La La)” La La Leaked

Fergie's "L.A. Love (La La)" Is Coming

Fergie is back in a worldly way.

Fergie’s new song “L.A. Love (La La La)” leaked ahead of its September 29 release date, and it’s safe to say she’ll see a lot of radio play with this new DJ Mustard-produced jam.

In true Fergie Ferg fashion, she takes elementary subjects (this time trading spelling out things for geography) and makes it sound adult.

Hilary Duff Didn’t Love The Pressure Of Being Squeaky Clean

Hilary Duff Didn't Love The Pressure Of Being Squeaky Clean

Hilary Duff embraced her bad self, just privately.

Hilary said during her interview on the Elvis Duran Show she felt the pressures of being a good role model when she was younger because she “cares what people think” about her. She sees stars like Miley Cyrus doing their thing and appreciates they don’t give a shit.

“I think that Miley, she’s being authentic to who she is and wants to be and I think that’s rad,” Hilary said. “Like, unapologetically, she is going for it and being really bold and not really caring what anybody thinks.”

“I do identify with the frustrations of feeling like I have to be a good role model — or did, maybe — not so much anymore,” she added. “And that was hard because you do want to explore yourself and there’s this reputation to hold up or whatever. But I took a big break, just because I needed to, and I got to do a lot of living and soul-searching and I got to mess up, but I just did it a little more privately than all the others.”

As for when her album comes out? No clue.
